Dr. Indira Venkataraman completed her MBBS, DGO, and MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), from the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, India and her MRCOG, FRCOG from London, UK.

She has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr. Indira moved to Dubai in 1987 and worked in a private clinic in Dubai (Dubai Polyclinic) till 1991. She then worked in the Ministry of Health, Fujairah for the next 13 years.

She joined Aster in April 2005 with Al Rafa Hospital for Maternity and surgery (now, Aster Hospital). She was involved in setting up the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department there and the licensing formalities, functioning of the Outpatient and Inpatient services including Deliveries and other Obstetric and Gynaecological Surgeries.

She is currently practising at ASTER Clinic, Al-Muteena, Deira (Dr. Moopen’s Polyclinic), for Outpatient Consultations and with attachment to ASTER HOSPITAL, MANKHOOL for In-patient care, conducting all types of Deliveries (Normal, Instrumental and Caesarean Sections), OBGYN Operative procedures, and attending to Obstetric & Gynaecological Emergencies.
