Dr. Darakhshan Naheed is a highly skilled neurologist with over five years of experience in treating a wide spectrum of neurological conditions in adults, including headaches, strokes, seizures, neuropathies, myopathies, movement disorders, neuromuscular junction disorders, neuroinfections, and demyelinating diseases.

She earned her MBBS and MD in Medicine from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, India, and completed her DM in Neurology from the renowned Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, India. Additionally, she holds a Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in Neurology from the UK. Dr. Naheed further specialised in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders through a fellowship at the prestigious National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore.

Her clinical expertise focuses on managing Parkinson’s Disease, Atypical Parkinsonism, and other movement disorders such as Dystonia and Chorea. She is also proficient in administering Botulinum toxin injections for conditions like hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, and dystonias.

Dr. Naheed has worked in esteemed institutions across India, including the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) and the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi, before moving to the UAE. In Abu Dhabi, she further refined her skills at a reputable hospital before pursuing her fellowship in Singapore. She has showcased her research through numerous poster presentations at International conferences and has contributed to several publications in prestigious journals. She has been awarded a Travel Grant to attend the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in 2024 in Philadelphia, USA
