FAQ

What is a PCR Test?

A PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test result will tell you if you have tested positive or negative for COVID-19.

The nose swab PCR test for COVID-19 is an accurate and reliable test for diagnosing COVID-19. A positive test means you likely have COVID-19. A negative test means you probably did not have COVID-19 at the time of the test. Get tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Why PCR Test?

The test detects the presence of a virus if you have the virus at the time of the test. The test could also detect fragments of the virus even after you are no longer infected. This is why it is the most accurate way to test if you have Covid.

A PCR Test is the most accurate way to detect whether you have Covid-19 or not. And even if you don’t have symptoms, a PCR test will tell you if you’re asymptomatic so that you can quarantine and keep your loved ones around you safe.

What are the modes of payment?

Cash and Card

Is the PCR Test painful?

You might experience a slight amount of discomfort while the nose sample is being taken but other than that the PCR test is not painful. We use a gentle cotton swab to collect samples from the nose and throat and this may cause some light gagging or coughing.

Which is better: a Covid antibody test or a Covid PCR Test?

A Covid PCR test will detect whether you have Covid-19 at present. A Covid antibody test will detect whether you have had Covid-19 in the past with little to no symptoms (asymptomatic cases) and have recovered from it. This test will check the levels of Covid-19 antibodies in your body.

Mental health put simply, is all about how you think, feel, act, establish social relationships and make healthy choices. Very often, mental health and mental illness are used interchangeably, which is wrong.

A person with a poor mental health need not be mentally ill and a person with mental illness can experience extended periods of wellness. Mental health can get affected by various reasons like persistent stress, loss of a loved one, physical illness, poor lifestyle, technology addiction, and so on.

Many a time, symptoms of poor mental health overlap with those of mental illnesses, leading to misconceptions, stigma, and worse, delay in treatment. What all of us need to understand is that mental health issues, just like physical health issues, can affect anyone, anytime. And all one needs to restore good mental health is expert care, backed by compassion, lots of patience, and unconditional love.
